We are often asked about the cost of reupholstering a piece of furniture,

which can vary depending on a number of factors, including:

  • Size of the piece: The size of the piece of furniture being reupholstered will affect the cost, as larger pieces require more fabric and materials.

  • The complexity of the piece: Pieces of furniture with more intricate designs or shapes may be more difficult and time-consuming to reupholster, which can increase the cost.

  • Type and quality of fabric: The type and quality of the fabric used to reupholster the piece can affect the cost. High-end fabrics or specialized materials will typically cost more than standard fabrics.

  • Type of padding and stuffing: The cost of the padding and stuffing used to reupholster the piece can also affect the overall cost. High-quality materials will cost more than standard materials. We ONLY work with high-density foam rubber. This comes in several firmness levels. Lower-quality foam will prematurely shrink and break down. We won't use those types of materials to make our prices lower. Most clients want to do a project once and for it to last many years.

  • Additional repairs: If the piece of furniture being reupholstered requires additional repairs, such as fixing a broken frame or replacing worn-out springs, this can add to the overall cost.

Overall, the cost of reupholstering a piece of furniture will depend on a combination of these factors and may vary widely depending on the specific piece and the upholstery job required.

However, a well-made piece of furniture will cost less to reupholster than to replace it with a new piece of furniture that is made as well.

Always.

Diane is an artist in every sense of the word. She reupholstered two parsons chairs for me and they are stunning. I would work with her again in a heartbeat.

Diane was great to work with! I would definitely recommend this company to others, as they went above and beyond my expectations.

Work was done on time and professionally. So happy with the end result. I had some damage to furniture in a move from out of state. Furniture looks as good as the day I purchased it. Highly recommend!

Diane does incredible work and is a good communicator, follows up with e-mails for clarity. Good source for advice re" the cost/benefit of a piece. She has an extensive list of contacts for every project.

I have used this company for several reupholster jobs on turn of the century barber chairs. Each chair is in service at two very busy shops and the compliments on them keep coming in. There is no reason to call anyone else for your restoration needs.

Antique Family Heirloom Brought Back to Its Former Glory

Old Musty Antique Fainting Couch

This antique chaise lounge/fainting sofa

is a family heirloom and was inherited by our customer.

They didn’t think that much could be done to this piece since it was in such bad condition and had been stored in a barn for decades.

However, they are repeat customers and saw what we could do to a previous loveseat that we worked on for them.

They planned to put this in an out-of-state vacation home.

From that location, we helped the client order free fabric samples that could be viewed in that home. It took them a few trips to make a final decision on the choice of fabric. I helped them via video chat to narrow down the final selection based on other pieces and paint colors that are in the second home.

Sentimental value was one of the most

important things to these clients. They

also recognized that if they wanted to

purchase a new piece of furniture, they

would spend much more money and

end up with a lesser quality piece in the end.

They also knew that they would have

a limited selection of available fabrics.

By Repairing, Restoring, and Reupholstering

this piece, they got the best of all worlds.
